« on: December 12, 2012, 01:59:58 PM »
If anyone is interested in a one-day get your license here is a way to get 'er done.

The OARS ( Oroville Amateur Radio Society) is offering a ham cram, at St. Paul's Parish Hall

If you are interested, or know someone who is... here's the scoop.

It is a one day class / presentation followed by an exam.  It is for the first license only, the one required to get on the air in most of what 4X4 needs.

For total information:  Jim Jennings <w7xz@comcast.net>

Dorence, WB6FBQ, will be conducting class in the morning, and the exam will be administered by the VEs in the afternoon. Webmaster Erik, AF6EF, has succinctly stated on the club website what preparations the prospective licensee should do for success in this endeavor.
