About 6 inches at the repeater site! The road up to the T is Patchy here and there until about Dice Rock where it stays pretty solid with snow.  ;D
K6FHL Repeater 146.700(-) PL 110.9 for coverage in the High Lakes and beyond, is linked to the W6SCR Repeater 145.290(-) PL 110.9 on Platte Mtn. for coverage into the Sacramento Valley.

It is still up and running too! Might have to raise that solar panel a couple feet? Does the equipment running keep the building warm enough? A friend maintains at&t buildings and most of those have climate control systems.

This year has been a pretty good snow year but when you look back in the history at like the weather station at four trees there' been 88in. of rain well back in 95 it was 164 in. 97 128 in. and 98 154 so there's the possibility to get a lot more that whats there now

From yesterday.  Solar panel buried, bracket broken under snow weight.  We dug it out.

Now would be a good time to add that extra height to the tower you were talking about   :)

Solar Panel repaired

Winter Trail Patrol on duty here:
The solar panel broke off its mounts.  N6BLU drove to Willits to pick up the new part.  Yesterday I was able to get it installed.  The repeater is back up and on the air.

Someone had nicely propped it up so the wires weren't stretched.

Disassembly:

Blown away by all your dedication!! Many people don't understand what it takes to get stuff done under these conditions.

Glad to see you guys "stewarding" the repeater.  That's the kind of dedication it takes!

Stuff like the bracket breaking happens with a new installation.  You guys handled it well.  We ended up making all the Rubicon repeater brackets out of steel and cold galvanizing.  We're also at a snow advantage because the wind keeps the repeater site nearly clear of snow.  Of course that puts us at a wind disadvantage!  122 mph was our high gust over the winter last year.

Our only down period so far has been an ice storm two winters ago.  After the ice melted off the repeater came back on the air.  We're still not sure if the ice caused the solar power to fail or the antenna to be shielded/have high SWR.

Great work, you guys!

Thanks all for who have put time, money, and effort with the repeater, I love having it up there to make local connections around Philbrook/High lakes and further on in the valley.  It worked just fabulous this last weekend.  My brother was very impressed with what a good job it does.

Went up for the 4th, had to snow shoe to go look at the repeater... plenty of snow still.
