Congrats to all the FOTHLers and to our fearless leaders.  It is wonderful seeing such a diligent undertaking to maintain these trails and the High Lakes.  Thanks to you all.
In the mountains of truth you will never climb in vain: either you will get further up today or you will exercise your strength so that you can climb higher tomorrow.

Here's a few pictures for your enjoyment.

These are thumbnails.   Click the thumbnail to expand into a full page.  Click that full page, for a high Rez version, if you want to see someone's freckles  ;-)

There's a couple press releases there too, and the article from the P-Post.

Enjoy

Here is the plaque that you ALL won, as recognition of the work done in The High Lakes.

I wish I could hang one on each wall of your place.  It is you the volunteers that earned it.

Since it isn't totally readable here is what is engraved on the brass plaque:

THE US FOREST SERVICE THANKS AND CONGRATULATES

THE FRIENDS OF THE HIGH LAKES

FOR EXCEPTIONAL VOLUNTEER WORK

AND

REGIONAL RECOGNITION OF SERVICE

SEPTEMBER 26, 2009

I think we should take it down to a laser engraving place and get a jeep engraved on it.

And a Toyota ?       Um,  ATV  ?    M/C  ?

The fish with a fly in its mouth is quite nice, tho'.
