Campfire Permits Online!
« on: October 14, 2008, 04:53:54 PM »
A number of you have asked where and how do you get campfire permits?

How about online? You have to take a little test......they even have a "cheat mode".....I fooled around with it, and even flunked it in "cheat mode".....and still got my permit!

Shrink it down to fit the wallet, sign it, and you are good to go!

For those of you that don't know me......I've been a Fireman for over 25 years.....I have my permit...LOL

And I bet that some of you may pass the "Test" the very first time......well...maybe!

This is still the easiest way.  You need a permit to have a campfire in the High Lakes, whether we have installed a steel fire ring, or whether it is still a rock ring.  Eventually, all marked campsites will be getting a steel fire ring.
