If you are not a part of a club but wish to help out, meet at Spring Valley at 0900 on 9-27 and sign in at the main desk, (you can't miss it). Just ask for Darryl Merrin or Dan Foshee, one of us will either hook you up with a club to tag along with or give you directions to areas that may need attention.

The raffle is better than ever thanks to some very generous vendors and private donations.

Public Lands Day and Fall Clean Up!

The Friends of the High Lakes 8th annual Fall Clean Up and Fundraiser, scheduled in coordination with Public Lands Day, will be Saturday, September 27th. As usual there will be dinner, followed by a raffle.

The page will be updated as the raffle prizes roll in, like the Smitybilt xrc8 winch dontated by The Lost Boys 4wdc

FOTHL General and Board Meeting Scheduled 9/3***
Friends of the High Lakes,
The next general meeting and board meeting is set for:
Wednesday, September 3^rd @ 6:30-8:30pm
Located at the Sierra-Hall
6165 Center Street
Paradise, CA 95969
As many of you know, the Forest Service is developing a plan which will
directly affect your access to our High Lakes OHV area. The input,
labor, and presence of active FOTHL members is critical in avoiding
campsite and trail closures and significant reroutes. Please attend this
meeting to hear more about the current state of the High lakes, what we
need to do, and how you can help. The general and board meetings will
cover topics including:
·Adopt-a-Trail Coverage Needed & New Adopt-a-Trail Participants
·Documenting Volunteer Hours: Making Our Presence Known
·New Board member (One seat is available at this time)
·Treasurer Report & Proposed Spending
·Report on FOTHL Events of Past Year
·Fall Clean Up

Just one passenger mirror and some tree sap rubbed in.  Just did the first few "easy" obstacles on the top end.  Still really fun to have the challenges.
